Adjust your settings so that Word automatically
uses your favorite font.

Fonts are all about preference. I like Garamond. You
might prefer Verdana. But each time you open a
document, it will default to one of the boring
fonts, such as Times New Roman.
You don't have to accept this.
Change your default
- Open a Word document.
- Choose Font from the Format pull-down menu.
- In the Font dialog box, select the font and
size you want as your default.
- Click on the Default button at the bottom left
corner of the box.
- When Word asks if you're sure you want to do
this, choose Yes.
- You're done.
