Windows Tip: Taskbar Options

Use this tip to customize your Windows.

Your Windows taskbar, normally found at the bottom of your screen, has different options you can customize to best fit your computer needs. To access your Taskbar Options right-click the Taskbar and choose Properties. There you'll find four options.

Always on top

Check this box if you want your Taskbar to show up on your screen, no matter what window you have open or application you have running.

Auto hide

Check the Auto hide box if you don't want your Taskbar to show. To access the Taskbar when auto hide is activated, move your cursor to the bottom of your screen. The Taskbar will automatically pop up.

Show small icons in Start menu

Check this box if you want small icons to display in your Start menu. If you uncheck the box, the icons will be the larger size.

Show clock

Check this box if you want your PC's clock to display. If this box is unchecked, you will not see the time at the bottom of your screen.
